About

Hi. I’m Lucy (not this one. Or this one. Kind of this one). This is my blog.

I wrote my first blog post on June 28, 2004. I was between my Freshman and Sophomore years in college, and it was a Xanga blog that I started because all my friends had one. I tended towards over-sharing my feelings and gushing about my boyfriend at the time. In the EIGHT years since then (how did that happen?), I’ve graduated from college, lived in NYC for a couple months (which sounds too short to mention, but was really kind of monumental for me), married the boy I gushed about, enrolled in and then dropped out of a grad program, and moved at least eight times. Now, I work for a public radio station and concert series in Columbia, Missouri, and feel oddly proud to have lived in the same apartment for 2 1/2 years. Some days, I even feel like an adult.

Besides yearly moves and that boy, there’s been a few constants for me over the years. I have always been a reader and a creator. I love words, and I love to make things. Those two loves come together in a lot of ways, one being this blog. It is a creation of words about creating and words (and, sometimes, creating with words–whoa). It is my place to record, to explore, to share, and to connect. And I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.
